As with all things new, Mason was not a fan of swinging on our first few attempts. Nor, is he a fan of the sippy cup yet. Even when filled with juice, we could not persuade him to drink its contents.
While cleaning out a box of my old books from childhood, I found this little jewel titled Baby Island. The teaser on the back of the book had Jeff & I rolling. That's fabulous that "Mary & Jean aren't bothered" at the notion of being shipwrecked & stranded with four infants. It would be my own personal brand of hell. How exhausting & they aren't even your own offspring. Unfortunately for these two skilled, upbeat babysitters, this book was written before the advent of cell phones....so there's no hope of a rescue via GPS tracking. This literary treasure is now gracing the shelves at the local Goodwill store.
This sweet, tattered tale from my old box o' books now sits atop the shelves of Mason's changing table dresser. I'm hoping it will provide inspiration for our little sleep fighter.
Thanks Daddy, Uncle Gary, & Uncle Keith for hanging up this poor baby's swing. Our outdoors-man now has another hobby.
Enjoying a nice evening of grilling & swinging.
