October 2011 (*Catching up)

Pumpkin Patch, Baylor Halloween, Trick or Treating 10-31-11, & October Days

Our 'practice run':  Trick or Treating at the Baylor dorms.
He wasn't very interested in the candy.

"Real" Halloween: He was more interested in playing with people's water hoses as we crossed various front yards, than with getting the actual candy.

Lazy little man...

For some unknown reason, Mason has always been really good about staying out of whatever room is in the midst of being remodeled. He was curious, but he wouldn't actually go in unless you held his hand to take him in the room. Perhaps he had a lingering fear of some of Jeff's noisy tools.

Oh, did I mention that Jeff fell through the roof of our big room one October afternoon. His legs, they did dangle from the ceiling, & a few choice words did spilleth out of his mouth. I wanted to capture a photo of that actual moment, but thought it would maketh him too mad! ; )

Mason "the builder": blocks  became a new favorite toy in the fall.

September 2011 (*Catching up)

Are you ready for some FOOTBALL?

Mason attended his first ever football game back in September 2011.  During said game, Mason got to watch Baylor quarterback & (*future) Heisman trophy winner, Robert Griffin III.  Technically, he hadn't won the Heisman yet,  & technically Mason didn't watch much of the game....but still, his attendance counts. Mason's cute face also graced the jumbo-trons' live camera feed at one point during the game.  Apparently the secret weapon for getting yourself some jumbo-tron air time is a chubby toddler sporting a Baylor jersey (& a loud Aunt Lindsey who is willing to yell "Hey camera guy!" & then wave wildly pointing at the chubby-faced toddler).   Mason did enjoy the following aspects of the football experience: it was OUTSIDE, the nice folks sitting behind us were apparently avid fans of peek-a-boo, the band play loud music (across the field from our seats), lots to look at, & it was OUTSIDE.

Jeff actually cheered for the Bears this year!

 Siblings! Go Bears!
Siblings! In true Uncle Keith fashion, he refused to cheer for Baylor. "His" Rice Owls lost. Should have listened to your nephew Uncle Keith! ; )
